The Forest Restoration Spatial Data Manager fills an integral role in leading the design and development of, as well as managing and maintaining, spatial databases for use in innovative forest restoration projects. They provide expertise, technical leadership and support in GIS and/or other database technologies. This position works both internally and with a variety of external partners to lead and support efforts to modernize and innovate various practices involved in forest restoration. The Forest Restoration Spatial Data Manager designs and maintains centralized corporate databases, participates in conservation planning at various levels, develops methods for mapping and classifying ecosystems and data management; including developing and maintaining all documentation for data capture, utilization and management. They perform data analysis; designs and produces advanced complex queries methods and professional reports, processes spatial and other relational data sets derived from cartographic and tabular source material, provides hardware and software support, produces maps and other graphic products, produces training materials and provides trainings, and develops and maintains GIS library and/or database products library. In this role there will be deep engagement with multiple partners including the United States Department of Agriculture Forest Service, state agencies, forest operations and products industries, research institutes and non-governmental organizations. Associate Survey Technician Position Summary: As an Associate Survey Technician, you will support the Survey Team by handling the day-to-day production of survey documents and assist the Survey Team in the field with equipment management and physical set up.
