Job Description To perform a variety of technical duties in the planning, coordination, implementation and maintenance of the City's Geographic Information System (GIS) including the design, implementation and maintenance of City spatial database structures, spatial analysis and research, map production, GIS application development including internet mapping; to manage GIS projects; to participate in the development and maintenance of electronic databases for use in City business and asset management; to coordinate GIS activities with City staff, other government agencies and acts as GIS reference contact to the general public; to provide user training to various departmental personnel and resolve problems; to provide highly technical and complex staff assistance to the Information Technology Manager; and to perform a variety of technical duties relative to assigned area of responsibility.
